The Book of Eli

This film was directed by the Hughes brothers and the main characters were Eli, who was played by Denzel Washington, and Solara, who was played by Mila Kunis. Eli is the main character in this movie and he is a walker whose only goal is to keep moving west. Solara is a girl who Eli meets along his way and who decides to come along with him on his journey.

This movie takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where there arent many people left in the world and everyone is struggling to survive. Eli is a well trained man and his goal is to keep moving west because of a voice that told him so. On his journey he arrives in a town and he meets Solara who is the daughter of the man who runs this town. This man has been looking for a bible for many years and believes that it is the source to all power. He soon finds out of Eli having one of the last bibles and he makes it his mission to get the book from Eli.

I really enjoyed this movie and I thought that it had a very good storyline to it. Before watching the movie I thought it to be another strictly action movie but I was proved wrong by how well the storyline was made out and the message that the movie gives. I felt like the action scenes were very cool and exciting to watch and the acting of Denzel Washington as Eli was also very convincing and fit the role perfectly. Another very great aspect to this movie was the scenery and camera angles throughout the movie. This camera work really gave me a feeling of how the world that they were living in was like and it had a very eerie feeling to it.

Overall, I felt that this movie had a great storyline which was backed up by great actors. The scenery and camera angles in the movie really made you feel how the world that they were living in was so much different and a very depressing place. I was entertained throughout the movie and I felt that this movie was made perfectly with very few errors in it. I would recommend this movie to anyone regardless of them not liking action movies, since this movie has a much bigger meaning to it then just action.
